Vocal and Songwriting Workshops

Across the year, the schools have received a series of vocal workshops provided by our team of Musicate vocal tutors.

Musicate delivers vocal workshops in a variety of genres.  During the first two terms, singer/songwriter and guitarist, Jo Hamilton, delivered a series of vocal workshops exploring song-writing skills with groups of children writing their own lyrics and performing their songs at school concerts.

Jazz singer Lizzie Parkes, then explored jazz and popular singing with the 5 schools producing some fantastic results!

All vocal workshops start with fun warm up games and our workshop leaders use material specifically chosen to encourage young people to explore their voices (especially boys!)
