Telford Music Enhancement Facts
Musicate put on a showcase called "Telford, a new musical landscape" to celebrate the  Music Enhancement Pilot Project, read more about the concert here.  As part of the evening VIPs and members of the Borough council were invited to come and watch the concert and learn more about the Telford Music Enhancement Pilot Project.  Some of the facts about the project are below. 

Fascinating Facts:
  • 1852 children have taken part in the project.
  • 35 professional musicians have delivered the project.
  • 3 new commissions from leading young UK composers have given the opportunity for over 200 of the children to perform in front of large audiences.
  • 500 days of workshops have been delivered on the project.
  • Every child on the school role in the pilot project schools got the opportunity not only to to listen to top professional musicians playing music that is relevant to them, but also had the chance to try it themselves.
  • Over 1000 children across Telford have participated in our world music workshops since 2004.
  • Even the majority of the boys taking part in singing activities enjoyed themselves.
