In February 2005, Wrockwardine Wood junior school choir were
invited to perform at a national primary headteachers conference
held at the International Convention Centre, Birmingham.
Organised by the Department for Education and Skills, the
conference was opened by the choir singing two songs to an audience
of around 1000 headteachers. The choir sang two pieces, a round
called 'Tu Eh, Tu, Eh' and a gospel song 'Move with the
Spirit'.
Despite a few last minute nerves, the performance as fantastic!
with members of the audience clapping along to the gospel song!
Many of the conference delegates commented on how well the choir
sang and wished that every conference could begin that way! The
choir thoroughly deserved their great performance and had worked
exceptionally hard during rehearsals.
As a reward for all their hard work, the performance was followed
by a trip to the Sea Life Centre in Brindley Place!
