This year 200 children that have been involved with the Telford Primary Music Enhancement Project were chosen to perform two newly commissioned works at the National Association of Headteachers Conference in Telford. 

The works have been commissioned from Martin Riley and Gareth Jones have been specially written to incorporate ideas and influences of Telford.

On piece written by Martin Riley involved 50 strong childrens percussion ensemble and professional percussion duo "Maraca 2".  The professional duo worked with the children in school leading up to the performance.

The other piece written by Gareth Jones was called "A Laymans Guide to Telford" and is written for childrens choir, two narrators and professional chamber ensemble.  The children were coached vocally by Lizzy Parks, one of the Musicate professional vocal coaches.
