Music Technology is a fun and exciting way of engaging young people with music at all levels.  At GCSE, AS and A Levels it is also a great way of helping students complete their coursework and teachers record students work or teach the national curriculum through software applications.

Realising that nationally there is a lack of support for music with technology Musicate employs a team of experienced professional musicians that are skilled in writing music with the use of technology to support schools at all levels.  Please read the list of possible support packages available below, we hope that you find something that might be useful to your school.

Musicate believes that music technology should be taught by experimentation and hands on interactive workshops.  For this reason all support is delivered in workshops and through schemes of work written to be fun and engage young people in the creative process.

    •    Practical and interactive demonstrations of software applications including Sibelius, Logic Express / Pro, Cubase VST / SX, Reactor, Pro Tools, Garage Band
    •    Composition with technology support classes.  These sessions concentrate on preparing GCSE, AS and A Level pupils to compose music with the use of technology.  MIDI and Audio recording and sequencing is taught and each student over a fixed period creates a piece of their own.
    •    CPD Training for music teachers.  Musicate Technology support can be booked for day workshops, as part of staff inset training or for after hours music technology training sessions.  Whether you simply need to learn more about a particular piece of software or need to know how to record your students work more effectively, Musicate can adapt programmes to suit.
    •    Recording and Audio support. Musicate employs musicians skilled in using mobile recording equipment to record any work your school has produced.  This can be anything from a promotional CD of work to students coursework or a school production.  It is also possible to hire Musicate musicians to support the production of school shows.
