Musicate - Training

One of main core beliefs as an organisation is to provide high quality, sustainable initiatives in all areas of our work. Training is an important aspect of our work, in various forms from Continuing Professional Development Training for school teachers and local authority music services to corporate training events.

CPD training
Musicate has and continues to work with many local education authorities and individual schools delivering a variety of training events tailored to individual needs and requirements. Recent training events have included CPD sessions for primary school teachers exploring the composition process across the curriculum. Other sessions have covered themes including creating graphic scores and graphic notation, effective listening, incorporating basic musical skills and recording and evaluation of group work. Training packages are practically based and are individually tailored to individual requirements. All participants take on an active role in demonstrating the various techniques delivered in the session including warm-up games, listening, composition, performing and appraising activities.

Corporate Training Opportunities and Packages
Many of the UK's large corporate organisations are now including musical activities in many of their training events and 'away-days'. The reason being that amongst many other reasons, Music provides a fantastic opportunity to develop a team's communication and teamwork skills. Through a series of practically based world music sessions, vocal activities and group composition and improvisation activities, companies can really increase staff moral, team work, communication and productivity - whilst also having a really great time away from the office!
