We aim to enhance people's awareness of the importance of music and the benefits of participatory music education, both in terms of the transferable skills gained from music making and as an aid to cultural understanding and social development.
Musicate aims:
- To provide musical activities for schools, communities, organisations and businesses, adapted and related to participants requirements.
- To compliment, enhance and develop current national curriculum requirements and initiatives in music.
- To increase access to music.
In a nutshell, we want as many people as possible to have the opportunity to participate in music making. We feel that this will happen through innovative and creative project planning, sustainable partnerships and new inspiring forms of collaborative music making.
